Additions to the Agenda: none

New Business: none

Old Business
a.  Lifestyle Essentials’ report made in person by Jennifer Shapiro, Owner, Lifestyle Essentials.
· The Evendale 100 took place this summer with Joyce Volz (ladies), and Tim O’Leary (men), completing the “100” first.
· This quarter’s challenge is to Maintain Not Gain during the holiday season.
· Lifestyles’ staff presented options to the village employees as part of our collaboration with the village for employee wellness. These “15 minute workout” options could be done at home, the gym, or a workout room within the departments.
· AJ led the Youth Running Program for the Fun in the Sun camp during the summer. The younger 7-9 year old group was well attended.
· Upcoming year includes a wellness expo in February.
· Currently, LE has a survey out to members; waiting for feedback may delay the start of the new session in January. “First Class Free” will continue into the new year.
· Resident, David Carmody passed along information about what it takes to enter the United States Naval Academy. Maybe, this information could be used as a challenge for kids and adults. Jennifer will investigate options.

b. Evendale Bike & Pedestrian Master Plan update – CACC meeting at Boy Scout Center, December 5, 2013, start 6:30 pm.

Director’s Report:
· David passed out a “test” questionnaires for Commission members to complete, and return, by the end of this month.
· John McGovern, our ADA compliance assessor, will be attending the January Meet & Greet to update our older patrons on our audit, and what should be done, and to get feedback from this special demographic. Chris Patterson, Evendale Zoning Committee, will also attend to gain feedback about whether the village should pursue senior housing options or not.
· Ken Puthoff was honored at the November Council meeting with a proclamation regarding his 2013 OPRA Coach of the Year award. Ken will be honored also at the 2014 OPRA Convention in Sandusky.
· David distributed his department strategies for 2014 (attached).

Phi Lambda Pi Report :
· The teens had a busy November. Wednesday nights have included making Rainbow Loom Bracelets, basketball, and a potluck dinner. Planning of the Holiday Party & Overnight also happened in November. The evening will start with dinner at the Montgomery location of Montgomery Inn, followed by bowling and a movie. The group will then return to the recreation center for the remainder of the night’s events.
· This November’s election day bake sale netted $348.00; which is very good for a non-presidential election year. Entertainment Book sales continue this month.
· Rake-n-Run was very fun; but a “ton” of leaves needed to be raked among the five houses. Forty-one kids volunteered over the three day event.
· Kirsten Lucas will be the new Phi Lambda Pi representative next year.

Open Discussion:
· A huge thank you to Stiney, Pamela, Wayne, Gus, and Katie for your many years of service to the department, and this commission. Your ideas, dedication, and time are greatly appreciated.

Motion to adjourn made at 8:31am by Gus Janszen; seconded by Pamela Meyers. Motion approved.
